With the opening of a Primary School, under the patronage of Late S. Hukam Singh (Ex. Governor of Rajasthan, Ex-Speaker of Lok Sabha), Bhai Gobind Singh Pasricha and S. Gian Singh Rai. The Trust weathered many challenges and had to leave the school behind at the time of partition. Thus began its epochal tryst with education in tumultuous times!

With dedication, determination and a spirit of service towards Jalandhar and the neighbouring areas, MGN Public School, Jalandhar is the flagship of eight prestigious institutions, including two B.Ed. Colleges, established by the MGN Educational Trust.

The portals of MGN Public School, established in 1974, beckon students from India and abroad, who flock here in search of quality education. Setting unprecedented goals, building traditions and seeking new landmarks, the school has carved for itself a name synonymous with academic excellence and a well balanced education.

From small beginnings, MGN has morphed into a premier institute of co-educational learning. It is a Public School worthy of the spirit of the pioneers of education in India. The school has more than 3500 students on its rolls. The school is deeply indebted to the founding fathers for their missionary zeal, spirit and sweeping vision. They toiled tirelessly to light the torch of education, which has illumined the lives of thousands of young boys and girls. Their never ending thirst for education, the dream to empower and liberate young minds, courage and grit are factors that motivate us to carry forward the great task initiated by them.

Excellence is not a skill It is an attitude. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, But a habit. We, at MGN, aim at developing ‘the habit of Excellence’
